Description:
.: a2b League proudly presents :.

***   The a2b Championship Cup   ***

.: The time has finally come for the ultimate BnG Cup :.

**   Free entry   **

**   32 players max   **

**   Cash prizes to be won   **

1st place: £50
2nd place: £25
3rd place: £15
4th place: £10

a2b Championship Rules:

  1. No straight bazooka shots.

   2. No sitters.

   3. No repeat shots:

          * If you hit someone for 34 HP or less with a shot, you can't use that same shot again until you have either hit them with a different one, or you or they have moved.
          * If you hit someone for 35 HP or more with a shot, you can't use that same shot again until either you or they have moved.

   4. No 5 second grenades unless used with low gravity or max bounce

   5. All shots should be aimed to explode on impact with the opponents worm - No 3s grenades with 4s fuse, no rollers.

   6. Re-aim the crosshair between every turn, regardless of whether you landed a hit last turn or not.

   7. Don't teleport too close to your opponent's worm (try to stay at least half the map away).

   8. No notching unless you can't help it (ie, your perfect aim is 1 or 2 taps off vertical).

   9. No telecides (teleporting on your opponent when you have low health in order to inflict grave damage on them).

  10. No defensive girders, only use girders for bouncing nades.

  11. No Darksiding - You are not allowed to use a hide where you cannot aim directly at your opponent - If you are pushed into a hide and all you can do is zook/bank grenades, you may attempt up to 3 return shots and if any are successful you must move immediately to a hide where you have a direct angle to shoot towards your opponent, this prevents players hiding in such a way that their opponent has no means of a direct shot giving the "darksider" an unfair advantage.

Groups - Best of 3

Knockouts - Best of 3

Final/3rd Place Decider - Best of 5

When deadlines are in place, there will be absolutely no 2nd deadlines, anyone who fails to finish their games by the 1st deadline will automatically forfeit and be removed from the Cup

Anyone who breaks any rule shown above will automatically lose and will be disqualified from the Cup

The b2b community will judge any incident of any rule broken that seems intentional or unintentional and will decide if such action is necessary

Group 3 - madog gets advanced, both madog and surgeon are drawn, won and lost the same amount of games, but madog beat surgeon which is the deciding factor.

I appreciate this but shouldn't surg should have made it on game-difference (like goal difference but worms) since he won his game 2-0 vs me and sock who won 2-1?

I feel bad though, should be surg technically. I do like how we can just make up rules and things as we go along it makes it more exciting.

..and surg beat oldsock and oldsock beat me. I see what you're saying but I think you have taken into account how good you think people are when it should be straight up games won imo no handicaps. I've already told you why I think it should be surg cos he won on game-difference.

He didn't, you both have same games won and same games lost, but because it's between you and surgeon, you go through cuz you beat him.

I thought I got it last night but I was pretty drunk, so I've had a recount and surely surg has lost only 4 games, where as I have lost 5?

Ok, I was speaking to DarkOne for some advice here:

I mis-counted, my sincere apologies, I thought surgeon had 3 wins and 4 losses, and madog had 3 wins and 4 losses, but in fact madog has 5 losses, so for this surgeon played better on overall and should go through.

I was wrong, you were right madog, I apologise, and thank you for bringing this to my attention.

Since this is my mistake, I will reset the deadline, and give everyone an extra week to finish their Knockout games.

I will inform MI as soon as possible to replace madog with surgeon in the Knockouts, as this isn't possible as Cup Moderator at the moment.

Again, my apologies, and at the same time thanks madog for being respectful and bringing this to my attention even though it drops you from the Cup :)

Is everyone just forfeiting this now?

Only 1 game has been played so far, I am so eager to play Janoox but he doesn't reply to my PM.

Cmon people, lets get these games played huh?
