What about if you have several cross correlated and high quality pieces of video evidence of someone murdering someone along with audio samples that can be proven to be that of the suspect.  You also have dna and other forms of forensic evidence confirming their guilt, a collection of eye witnesses and a strong motive.  To top it all off you have a confession from the subject and a lie detector validated detailed account of why, how, where and when of which all aspects and individual components of their story can be verified and confirmed to be true.

One could argue that the most solid case will never be 100% but sometimes it's too close to 100% to argue about that 0.0000000000001% that all the evidence has somehow got it wrong.

I would still say that the death penalty should be saved for exceptional circumstances.

*The lie detector has not been proven to be an accurate tool by any stretch but for the benefit of my example I included it!

What? Are you serious? Why don't you read up on "restorative justice".  Using restorative justice has statistics to back it up... it helps criminals turn their life around and get back to working, etc... but according to you, we should just not care at all.... you sound completely ignorant in your last post  

Are YOU serious? To ME, in MY opinion, if someone has murdered someone, in cold blood, like if they mugged someone and stabbed them, and they died, think about all the pain and anguish they have caused that persons family to suffer, are you trying to tell me you think it's fair for that person, to be able to carry on living happily after a measily jail sentence and get all the help possible to achieve this, while the person who died their family has to suffer for the rest of their lives KNOWING the person who ruined their lives gets to live happy with help from the so called "justice system"?

Funny thing is, i've stole stuff before, and I got caught, and my dad kicked my ass for it when the police brought me home, I got the belt, the shoe and a slap across the back of the head, I deserved the punishment and didn't even have any sympathy for myself lol, I immediately thought "I hate him" then about 2 minutes later "I won't be doing that again"

You said criminals deserve no sympathy and you want to return hangings for those guilty of terrible crimes... I understand that... I came in telling you why hangings would be ridiculous and how a restorative justice system can turn the lives around of those you think we should show no sympathy towards...  That is what I did... I think it is you who is pissed because I contradicted you with cold hard facts and logic.

Don't call me arrogant, you sound super arrogant here.  A lot of cities in the US are filled with homes where kids grow up with a drug addicted mom, dad in prison, etc... you just don't know what it is like for those people, we can't just say "oh well they committed the crime so f@#! them..." A "Homie" grew up with a drug addicted mum and a drunk-abusive father, this is NO reason for them to commit murder, if they commit murder they are worse than their parents, and should not be rewarded for it, I don't care how bad someones life is, NOTHING should make you want to kill someone for no reason, murder is the worst thing you can possibly do, unless you torture 1st.
