PvE & PvP are both repetitive
No. They're not. If you learn how to beat AI - it's over.
So, without playing a game, I could watch a detailed tutorial on how to beat each AI enemy in a game, and thus the game is over?
I don't think you fully understand what I am saying, which is my fault for not elaborating.
PvE & PvP are both repetitive in various ways.
All games use the same controller layout that we are used to(usually), the only difference is game physics, artwork, characters, weapons etc, to a degree.
These days, it's very VERY rare to see a game that is 100% unique,
everything is a remix. This is why both PvE & PvP is repetitive, you are essentially doing the same thing over and over and over, in different ways, with different timing.
Quote from: Sensei on December 08, 2018, 09:04 PMIf you beat real opponent, you'll achieve nothing cause they have ability to learn and adapt.
Every game is a challenge.
In PvP, once you learn the physics inside out, and memorize the weapons, tactics, maps etc inside out, each game is very repetitive.
PvP does have more variety in this sense because you have to anticipate your enemies actions and try to out think them, or simply play better than them.
I disagree with "you'll achieve nothing" because, for example, when I 1st started playing Worms I wanted to become good enough to beat top players, and then one day I was good enough to achieve this and it was a rewarding feeling, so what you achieve is experience, memories, skill, pride etc.
However PvP is still repetitive, look at WA for example, TTRR, Big RR, WxW, BnG, Team17, Hysteria etc, you are doing the same moves, the same shots, the same tactics over and over, just simply at different times depending on what your opponent does.
Schemes like Elite, Intermediate, Team17 etc, are more adaptive than TTRR, Big RR etc, where you simply just have to practise be better than your opponent, because not only do you need skill and experience of weapons and physics, but you have to anticipate your enemies turns and always pay attention to what they may be planning. But even with this, the games are still very repetitive because it's a pixel perfect game where you can repeat shots/tactics etc.

Ppl are so bored of repetitivity they end up doing speedruns of games just to, how you described earlier, compare the size of their dicks
While I am sure there are some people out there who will find any excuse to brag over other players, most speedrunners I know of simply wish to achieve the best possible time, and find new ways to exploit the games and achieve better runs.
The glory of beating someone in PvP is that you beat someone in PvP, or trying to be the best, or you just find fun in playing against other people for funny/creative moments, the glory in speedrunning is the constant ambition of improving and setting records and new possibilities to beat the game.

I've got nothing against ppl enjoying good story in PvE. Will do it myself from time to time. But PvP is what it's all about.
I have nothing against people enjoying PvP, I used to be a PvP fanatic myself when I was younger, but for me it's boring now, it doesn't feel like i've accomplished much by beating another person in a game, otherwise I would still be a 1v1 BnG fanatic lol.
Like I said before, I love single player games and great stories, whenever I see a new game to appreciate the artwork, the scenery, the music, the characters, the progress, because with each game those are the things that are unique, i'm a film addict as well always looking for new stories and fantasies to experience

Each new PvP game for me it's exactly the same goal and result, learn the mechanics of the game then win or lose until you get bored of it.
For me, PvE is less repetitive than PvP.
