So Worms Armageddon is not just a game for us, but for our children  and their children children.

This game is a ladder of prodigy. We have gotten this far and we can continue to climb! WE ARE THE ANCESTORS AND HIGHBORNS! OUR NEXT GENERATION DEPENDS ON EACH AND EVERYONE OF US! WE ARE THE ROOTS OF THE GREAT OAK TREE OF TIME! WE ARE THE FATHERS!

It isn't always as easy to teach a newecomer. I myself  have tried to explain how WA works to a couple of beginners, but unfortunately the reward of doing so is zero. Why? Because I never see them come back to the gamr anymore.

Not everyone communicates in English and that only might be one of the reason they lose interest.
Some players just comes to WA to re-experience what they once had as a child.
Old schoolers usually neglect the presence of newcomers. A lot of experienced player alias and troll beginners. That's my Impression of it.
People are more selective of who they mingle with, if you are not talented and build your way up to the food chain, you are pretty much on your own until you reach a certain height to be noticed by the nearest beacon.

Maps Comments / Re: Map #15798, 03-Berria-in-love-by-ANO by ANO

ANO displays true characteristic when he made these maps, a lot of affection & devotion were added to each pixels.
Dunno about this gay shit but.....not bad maps

My message wasn't intended to be gay, but It is peculiar to know your gay radar is leading you on :P

But honestly, if someone makes a map dedicated to someone else, that is something and not necessary gay.

And I think throwing the word ''gay'' these days are getting old.

At least people aren't a cynic. It's good to have hope. WA doesn't have to rely on old school people, that's a bit selfish. I do agree if TuS goes, half of WA will fade and continue to fade from there.

I would say 5-10 for current WA but I think if devs releases 4.0 it will last longer. Voted 20+

I actually agree with that coming to think about it, if 4.0 actually gets released and you can play together in real time, and the other features, it would spring so much more life into this game and give another 10-20 years!

*fingers crossed*

Once upon a time I heard someone say that will never happen and this was very recent. Though I am not sure if his word have a lot of credibility.

back in 2004 most people in #AG were actually in it to PLAY, nowadays half of it (even more) are snoopers that just idle there. That's my impression when I look who's online.
While this fairly accurate, people are fairly picky of who they mingle with. It's not like your averege old schooler make friends with a newbie. OF course _I can be mistaken- Then again, it just boils down to the fact that people likes to play who they already know.

There are a lot of young passionate players among us. We should not dismiss the possible fact that they may show the same devotion as older players. While I agree that older are players are one of the reasons for Worms Armageddon's success, I do not believe their decline in numbers will determine WA's online activity.
If I remember correctly, back in 2004 Worms Armageddon had like 60+ players in AG, that number haven't changed much  The high peak of players are always in the afternoon for me.

A lot of older players binds WA's with their nostalgia and may grown tired of it. Hence the experience they once had are no longer present, and therefor they say ''WA is dead''
