Ok try this. First disable SuperFrontend for testing purposes (rename wkSuperFrontend.dll to .pll)

Install D3D9Wnd, and edit wkD3D9Wnd.ini in Notepad.  Under [FrontendSettings] make Stretch=1 (by default it's 0 (off)). This will stretch the 640x480 frontend to fullscreen, without changing resolutions annoyingly. You might have to experiment with graphics renderers to find one that works.

It's your keyboard.. a hardware limitation, not WA's fault. Some cheap $7 keyboards work well, some more expensive ripoff brands ones do not. See this thread for some keyboard recommendations. https://www.tus-wa.com/forums/worms-armageddon/best-overall-keyboard-for-roping-in-worms-armageddon-32467/

Alternatively you could try using wkRemapKeys. Sometimes you can use different buttons for spacebar or for the arrows, since not all keys are affected. https://worms2d.info/WkRemapKeys

Can you post the errorlog.txt and crash.dmp files here?

Save this .dll file into your Worms folder, and in Advanced Options enable "Load Wormkit Modules"

Quote from: StepS
ChanServ has banned everyone again (last time this happened in 2014)
Install this WormKit module to unban yourself: http://dump.thecybershadow.net/f6de4d31d0d6702126a7d42076b181e8/wkUnban2014.dll
(you may not need the module if you are using only snoopers to connect)

Get ready for another steaming pile of shit. I'd be shocked if it was even half as good as W:A. Which makes one ask, why bother? Just another cash grab.

The best place to contact Cybershadow and Deadcode is on IRC. See here: https://worms2d.info/Worms_on_GameSurge

Cyber said in a previous post in this thread that he'd rather post an update than have us speculate and draw conclusions..

I check this thread every day but haven't been seeking news elsewhere. Please let us know if you hear anything!

Downgrading your Steam version is the only way to get PX to work, unfortunately. Can you provide more details about why it didn't work?

This game is great. Competitive races whenever you want, with no waiting around. I've been playing it pretty steadily in little snippets since it was released. The rope is good enough to satisfy my roping cravings. I like using the basic brown rope for extra challenge.  Spent $0 so far.. but I'll probably make that $1.29 minimum purchase to get rid of the video ads (just added) at some point. Right now they're still very infrequent.

There have been at least 10 updates since this thread was created, and Mesiba has been implementing some of our suggestions. He's working hard and improving the game. Call me brainwashed but I don't mind giving him 5 minutes worth of my wages for all that work and the many hours of sweet mobile roping.

Next improvements I want to see are more levels, improved custom map support and sharing, and different timetrial map segments.

You are correct in that nearly all of my time lately has been spent in relation to setting up the new server. However, I'd like to add to that, that server-related matters are solely my responsibility, and, as far as I understand, and excluding doing anything disagreeable, there is nothing that I can do to expedite the next update's release.
Might be time to start exploring these "disagreeable" options ;).

Wait until 3.8 comes out [...] as it might upgrade the team file format.
Source?

or 4.0
Do you also believe in Santa Claus?
Motivation comes in waves. DC and CS have asked for the latitude not to have to account for times of silence, as I guess it could cloud their intrinsic enjoyment of the project. FWIW no-one official has ever suggested 4.0 is off; the official word is development will accelerate after 3.8 is released. I'm still trying to be hopeful for a 3.8 release this year. Ultimately though if we want WA to survive in a meaningful sense, we need to play it, patch or no.

General discussion / Re: Fall Calculator (module)
« on: August 17, 2019, 04:00 PM »
I think it's a good idea. WA should be able to cater to all levels of play. Should be activated like /arrows so everyone knows you're using it. Map makers would be glad to stop adding fall indications. Most other video games have a mini-map.
