Tech Support / Re: [solution] Win 7 - Cannot restore from minimized
« on: January 03, 2012, 02:06 PM »
without running as admin these associations are never restored.
not only, you can also use any of my installers (except Localizer), they automatically restore every association  :)

So, how can I to solve the minimize problems?

(I have this f@#!ing problem also :( )

if you cannot minimize during the game - don't run WA as admin and don't install into Program Files.
Also ensure that the "Use desktop window" option in Advanced settings is disabled.

You might want to run the game in admin mode (right click>run as admin)
Don't do this - you won't be able to minimize during the match.

General discussion / Re: I did 166 WormKit modules
« on: December 29, 2011, 03:35 PM »
How do I use it?

I copied wkForceFrontendResolution1680x1050.dll into my WA folder and all it does is crash the game right after running.

These modules aren't really for a stable use - they force the desired resolution in the frontend, making it in the top left corner if it's bigger. They also minimize the game on the start.
As about crashing the game - make sure that the resolution you selected is supported by your graphics card. Mine supports from 320x200 to 1366x768

wtf is going wrong with u?

FU ae, next time you want to rly help come here nicely and do it, if you want to pretent to be the PX hacker WA weapon creator and windows 7 master...just go eat ur shit puto!!!!

Nothing is wrong with me. Just me, like CyberShadow and some other people, are frustrated about this problem in general and in the continuous appearances of it. This isn't that simple, and a solution that seems to be "fine" from the first look, doesn't really apply to such a big problem. Notice that I didn't insult anyone by saying this, I just blamed the "solution". This is a tip, and not an object to insult someone. I agree that it was a bit exagereated, but still.

The solution to Husks problem was to run WA.exe as an administrator. Might work for you too, I'm not sure tho.
this solution is just a bullshit. You'd rather tell him not to install WA in such folders as Program Files, which are restricted in rights.
Don't come back to cry here when you find out that you cannot minimize the game and create/modify teams.

General discussion / Re: Markings on your monitor- okay or not?
« on: December 19, 2011, 04:24 AM »
Considering the number of people who voted, I don't think this thread will reach that many people's eyes. And it's definitely important enough to talk about, since there was plenty of disagreement on the subject, and it impacts the game.

you may disagree as much as you want. But cheaters will cheat. And you can't do anything about this. This is life.

And btw, votes on poll are on your side, so just add the rule and stop giving away new ideas to youngsters how to cheat! ;x

+1 imo this topic probably did more damage then it helped
yep, I think this thread is a waste of time, since you can't prevent it anyway, so let it go. If the buddy does that, he is responsible for what he does, for his monitor, etc. No need to discuss this any further.

General discussion / Re: WA + Windows 8 = omg... it WORKS!
« on: December 17, 2011, 09:09 PM »
Today I ran windows 8 again. And what would I expect? The match started fine, without PX or anything, and got back to frontend well! The double buffering setting fixed the black screen, but I still don't know what fixed the actual app crash. Stay tuned!  ;)

General discussion / Re: question about PX and or RW
« on: December 16, 2011, 06:10 PM »
i just installed both of them a few days ago and ever since i havent been able to make my worm names transparent... its a little annoying because i have it burned in my brain to hit it automatically if its not transparent

does anyone know why this might be?
It's not currently possible with PX. somehow PX disabled the transparencies of WA (like the pop-up dispersions, round begins and ends), except invisibility.

Not ok at all.

TUS Discussion / Re: rubber worms and classic schemes ?
« on: December 16, 2011, 01:52 PM »
You cannot forbid rubberworm, it has already been officially integrated into the next beta (all features except Kawoosh's new ones - this is planned yet).
Arrows - lol, it's an absolutely harmless feature (except the Darkness mode). And you cannot prevent its usage anyway: there's an easy trick - play an offline game and enable /arrows, go back into menu, don't quit WA. Arrows will be always enabled without a notification until you fully exit WA. 8)

When also forbid custom worm names. Every Worm has to be Worm 1, 2, 3 etc. it is unfair!
We can discuss about it infinitely and forbid new and new simplicity ways, most of which cannot anyway be prevented. But somehow I like your idea. :)

Tech Support / Re: LAG PROBLEMS
« on: December 15, 2011, 05:04 AM »
when it happens it happens about 3-5 seconds then it goes away. In the lag time, I hear my hard drive sound
that's not good. probably the you are encountering the bad clusters. To check and fix them, input chkdsk /R
and put it to be done on reboot.

Now the Realtime Boom Race is available in Super-HD (1080p), with good fps and without lags :D thanks to Waffle for filming and his strong PC, of course.
