I know TUS awards are always just for the lulz and are traditionally not so serious but I'd like to know if I am the only one that thinks they could be a little more representing of the best wormers we have in TUS in that year. I often see people get votes that didn't even play a single TUS game or so few that they should not count towards the TUS awards, after all they are awards for the year 2013, not 1999-2013. When people get inactive for 3/4th of the year or even more they shouldn't receive votes at all. For example it would be a lot more motivating for people to work for their points in regular season when at the end they might get rewarded for it by being the best of that year. It could easily be determined by just adding up all seasonal points he/she gained during that year.

Obviously some awards like coolest wormer etc. require a vote but imo TUS awards of individual schemes (elite, rr, bng etc.) and overall best player (all schemes together) could be a lot more representative than they are now.

It would be a great overview who did what great this year and who improved, who was active. Now it's kind of random and saying nothing at all.

So I reinstalled Win7 a few days ago and installed W:A with latest updates and all. But if I want to run W:A it tells me:

Warning: the current directory (e:\games\WA) is not writable. W:A will not be able to create temporary files, and will not function properly.

Please modify the directory permissions to allow write access to the specified directory, or reinstall the game to a location writable by unprivileged users. You may try launching W:A as administrator user, however this is not recommended.

When I run it as Admin it says:

It looks like you ran W:A as administrator with UAC enabled.

This is not recommended. Please be aware that this may cause issues such as not being able to restore a minimized game.

I tried disabling UAC just to try it but I still can't maximize after minimize.

Any help?

I have never made an "I quit" thread but today is the day after I put a lot thoughts into it. During my semi-active comeback in the last couple months I enjoyed the clanners both in Q as well as the ones with dt, for a short period of time I thought W:A is back for me but I realized that I just don't have as much fun as I used to have, and it's not just old people that are missing, or a lot of public games are shopper/hysteria. I just can't feel the urge to play Worms anymore, I remember waking up and rushing to the toilet to get ready to play W:A all day even after several years of non-stop worming. It was really an awesome time and I wouldn't exchange it with anything. But a lot of time has passed and I suppose it's inevitable to leave W:A for good one time. I know many will say "you will come back", but for me this chapter of gaming is over. I just wanna thank all of you who made it possible to play a game for such a long period of time, I donated to MI for his brilliant work and I hope he will serve this community for a long time to come. He is clearly the greatest Admin W:A ever had!

I will make sure to drop in every once in a while to see what is happening with TUS and the people that are around.

Hey, I noticed that petrol in wXw/shoppa is either the best weapon you can get (blocking worms) or pretty useless (usually on wXw). Shouldn't a weapon always have a use and on certain maps shouldn't be the best? Even if you only do 1 dmg with petrol it is still best to attack with it if u get a blocked in worm.

What do you think? Should petrol be removed?

Oh and, if you disagree, tell me (with replay) a good use of petrol other than blocking.

The end is pretty funny, worth a watch.
