lol steps@running win95 on psp. psp is way to weak for windows, I can emulate almost every psp game with ppsspp emulator on my android device.
well there's archive of dosbox bundled with win95. it's actually the same thing triad is using.
ppsspp is a new emulator and quite buggy yet. I barely managed it to work on PC after turning off buffered rendering (otherwise nothing would run at all - the program just crashes immediately)

Quote from: darKz on February 07, 2013, 08:16 PMWe can all read even without your visual aids.
that's a good thing, because the 99% can't, and then they're wondering why are they wrong.

Quote from: darKz on February 07, 2013, 08:16 PMWeren't we talking about RAM?
yes. But what i'm saying is that to run Windows 95, not only its own portion of RAM is required, but also a lot for the emulation alone, and CPU power. On PC with a compatible processor there's no emulation involved, so you run the app normally.

I can run Windows 95 on PSP, but it barely plays Solitaire. Often it just throws a fatal error upon launching any app.

thanks, but we are talking about a mobile phone with completely different CPU architecture ---> double/triple system requirements for emulation

wanna play wxw? easily, but it's a lot better to do so on PSP using the PS1 version.

How the keys would work if he manages to get the game running well?
it's dosbox's deal, configured in a conf file

Quote from: triad on February 07, 2013, 03:26 PMi have quake 3 on my phone for example :D
Related to what already said, Quake 3 is open-source and ported to CPU architecture used by your mobile phone, therefore it goes perfectly fine without any emulation. I also have a Quake, but this has nothing to do with Windows or DOS systems designed for Intel 386!!!

s60v3? hell no, too few RAM. Even my N97 which has 128 MB always has only 50 MB free even on clean firmware. Opera browsing fails sometimes :'(

WA needs more RAM, and to consider the OS itself already eating it, also you could need DirectX 8 because 9 isn't compatible with Windows 95.

it's complicated.

was it the SmartScreen overlapped pop-up? if so, you need to press "More details" (or how it is called) and "Run anyway".

Quote from: j0e on February 05, 2013, 01:35 AMand if you still have any problems with win8, steps' windows 8 windowed mode thing will fix it
http://forum.team17.com/showthread.php?t=62048
actually D3D9Wnd doesn't fix anything except the Windows 7 multi-monitor flickering. it just uses the built-in Direct3D 9. the previous module known as wndmode used an emulator, which was acting in its own way, but still having its own big issues.
all you need is to enable Direct3D 9.

yet to hear at least one example. anyone who tries to prove that "there is some damage involved" fails to protect his point with at least a single example. you know, who needs random statements?
if you are embarassed you could even tell me in PM and we continue the discussion there. let's not pollute this thread anyway

i don't make modules to real extent. most of the modules were made by Kawoosh
the only, the D3D9Wnd and wndmode's companion were the starting points for me to learn but I didn't really produce anything else, and I doubt it will go outside changing exterior look, as modifying game engine, at least at this time.
keyremap was requested by a buddy and we gladly fulfilled his wishes. don't want - dont ask :)
everything else is of course thoroughly discussed and standardized, you silly avi
at least give me a clear example of what's wrong, why are you hiding it to blame someone afterwards when no one gives a shit about it anymore :)

Quote from: Leroy on February 02, 2013, 01:55 PMI don't really see the need to create a new console, since the ps3 is powerful enough to this date.

have you read?

all PS3s of past, present and future are fully pwned by hackers now, Sony is on all feet

PS3 is pwned, it is blown open and no longer secured, and cannot be secured, nothing will help, it's a master hack.

its weird. game does no sound usually when it's not in focus (running on background). from your words it seems that system fails to properly bring WA to foreground. i may do an antimodule for test
have you tried updating DirectX?

Quote from: AlTarf on January 29, 2013, 07:29 PMAlright let me help you get this straight: wormnat2 is useless for 3.7, when you upgrade to 3.7 you can host already!
utterly wrong, it is NOT integrated, only the loader. you still need to have WormNAT2 for this purpose.

Quote from: AlTarf on January 29, 2013, 07:58 PMEDIT: I just happened to notice that "OLD" labeled wKPrivateCfg file lol :P not sure how that got in there though
an incompatible module has been calmed

what do you use for minimization, sm0k? I hope you don't run the game "As admin"? have you tried D3D9Wnd btw? It has a new method to minimize in-game, replacing the old buggy one  (i can make wkMinimizeAlternative if the default method doesn't work).

i actually dont care
if snooper continues then it continues
i dont use it anyway
stop discussing it
