@FoxHound Send me the maps and I'll upload them for you if you're worried about anything.
#122
Yes, it's ok to upload them.

Worse comes to worst, just "remix" them slightly, then upload them.

You could try and offer a time to your opponents in this thread, the same thread they will likely visit because they are also part of this Cup.

Off Topic / Re: Do you look and act your age?
December 08, 2024, 01:21 PM
I've been told I look a little bit younger, whenever people guess my age they always come up short by 3-5 years.

It's a bit of a weird question these days, there's almost no consistency to how people act these days, I see people as either stuck up and tight, or laid back and loose. The world is way more faster paced with more variety than there ever has been, people are more focused on their own identity and personality more than ever before in the western world because for the most part the majority have the freedom of spare time and spare money mixed with a whole lot of boredom and lack of immediate purpose.

I'd say I'm a bit of a double edged sword... Laid back and loose, very chill most of the time. I have a high tolerance to how people act in general so long as they aren't maliciously hurting other people. Yet at the same time I have a very low tolerance to people who are selfish, greedy, maliciously ignorant, racist etc. Which happens A LOT!

I praise people a lot for doing right and also discipline people a lot for doing wrong.

One moment you might get the intellectual rational or laid back adult , the next, the younger hot headed and pissed off strict guy.

Off Topic / Re: Material Things
December 08, 2024, 01:11 PM
I've voted no, but answering this from the perspective of being "materialistic" not being money orientated and just having hordes of material things.

I don't buy stuff to show off wealth or go crazy for "the latest models/fashion"... I buy things that are useful and that are required for my needs so don't consider myself materialistic at all. I buy cheap clothes(apart from boots, I buy good boots for walking), don't buy jewellery or other luxury goods, don't even have a car and try to walk everywhere that's possible. I haven't even been on a holiday for about 20 years.

I also have a few other bits and bobs that are technically "technology" but that's because I'm a nerd and it's mostly related to gaming, sports or music and those are hobbies I consider intellectual and/or fitness based.

I've spent most of my money on my PC and that's because I do music production, if it wasn't for music I'd probably have a much more basic gaming PC.

Quote from: Impossible on December 03, 2024, 02:01 PMthat's kinda cool to hear. so masta is the new boss of rope racing?

He's been the boss of rope racing for like the past 10 years since everyone started to disappear. I don't see anyone else who played as much as he did since then at that level.

Quote from: Impossible on December 03, 2024, 02:01 PMi'd argue that it's the other way around. macro gives you faster learning curve. with it, you'll get to the "not bad" level of roping faster. but at the highest level macro will do you the opposite, fixed timing will start to limit you, since players of top caliber can do the same thing as you can [by cheating], yet they're doing the same thing manually, and thus with much more precise control. i think you know what i mean

I know what you mean but still strongly believe having a button that improves/speeds up and stabalizes scrolling, shadows, climbing will be more beneficial for those who already are masters of roping.

Using macros is considered cheating, by all leagues that has ever existed in mainstream leagues for WA. It's using this information that I claim it's non-beneficial to learn this way because if you ever plan on competing against the best players in the world you will have to really learn how to rope and like Sensei said, RE-learn how to rope.

Yeah, no keyboard that exists is going to get anyone to Mastas level of consistency, that takes years of practise and Masta practised more than pretty most people combined in the past 5-10 years. At least with Challenges.

Quote from: FoxHound on December 02, 2024, 01:55 PMCuriously at this moment I'm reading a book (~45% of it) about this subject. Its name is 10% Human by Alanna Collen. Very interesting read.

Hey, that's pretty neat, could you share a few of your favourite passages that have anything to do with this thread please?
