If you limit the amount of smites/applauds for a season it wont fix anything.

People who smite someone everyday do so because they dont like the player, not because they agreed or disagreed with a post they wrote. This way people will just max out their smites on someone, it doesnt change the fact that their smites are biased and irrelevant.

If you want to keep it anonymous, then an anonymous note can be written as to why you are smiting someone and these notes be made viewable.

I personally think a post marking system would be better than a karma system, but it doesnt really matter that much.

Keeping it annon. sucks! ppl should know who's pressing their smite/applaud button why to keep it in silence? like nail said ppl just press it coz they don't like the player they press it without reason and coz they know that the player won't know that they are smitting him, make it public or just public to the smitted/applauded dude and the feature will be fair imo.
