i7 6700k - 4ghz / 64gb RAM / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 (laptop)
The PC is pretty old, just for WA and Netflix really.
My spare is something similar to STRGRNs processor, with only 8gb RAM, but a NVIDIA GTX 8xx something, but i'm giving that to my father cuz his PC kinda sucks and he's into photography so it'll be decent for him
I am flabbergasted by this whole statement
Those specification may be ''defined'' as old in the computer technology world, but they're WAY overkill for WA and netflix alone. They're plenty enough powerful for streaming, video editing, and high end gaming. Unless if you NEED to run everything on 4K Ultra on 60fps and beyond. If you NEED to save some seconds in rendering 4K video.
I am quite content with my setup i5 6600K, 8GB DDR4, & GTX 970.
I do not intend to upgrade anything after the year 2020. Only an enthusiast or someone who seeks a laughable bragging right of a SUPER HIGH END COMPUTER would upgrade every year.
Of course, to each his own
