As previously said, i've tried every combination of advanced settings but none of the 3D9 settings give me a good framerate/feel for rope :(

It's cool, I just have to accept I can't play this game anymore if I wanna minimize, and that's really hard for me, some games can get extremely boring and I do it out of habit...

I'll probably just buy a cheap older computer at some point.

Try Direct3D 9 Shader.

How much CPU cores are allowed for WA?

3D 9 causes screen tearing, can't rope with it.

Cores, all of them? I forgot how to check

XanKriegor

Ctrl+Alt+Del, Processes - WA - Right click - CPU Affinity. WA is an old shit and works better with just one core allowed.

Wouldn't that just improve the gameplay though, I don't think this would affect the problem with minimizing.

More than one core allowed makes WA laggy, and it definitely worth getting rid of anyway.

FINALLY A SOLUTION!

I was chatting with some guy who had same problem as me and I was telling him how I navigate around this issue...

Then StepS came in and told me to use wkFrontendFix! This was not mentioned before but now I see why.

StepS didn't realize I use Direct7, he was expecting me to use D3D9, which I cannot because it makes rope extremely bad for me.

Anyway, D3D9 fixes this issue, and wkFrontendFix works for all except 8-bit directdraw.

This is the module - http://myfiles.my1.ru/wa/wk/wkFrontendFix.rar

Finally, I can minimize my heart out and no issues whatsoever! FINALLY!!!

I've just made a discovery.
You don't need wkFrontendFix or any other module. The solution to this problem has existed in the game since the 3.7.0.0 release, but was only present as a .reg file in Tweaks.

All you need to do to fix the white frontend after minimizing is to apply this reg file:
Tweaks\GDILayerTransparencyWorkaround_On.reg

This one disables the fix:
Tweaks\GDILayerTransparencyWorkaround_Off.reg

Enjoy I guess, while 3.8.0 is not out yet.
Dec 30 2013 23:59:44 <StepS> windowed mode isn't the only thing you need about frontend
Dec 30 2013 23:59:49 <StepS> you need it to be actually bigger
Dec 31 2013 00:00:13 <StepS> it actually is very small on my 15-inch full HD screen
Dec 31 2013 00:00:25 <StepS> while running at 640x480 or stretched mode makes it fuzzy
Dec 31 2013 00:00:44 <StepS> this problem has been around since the Worms Armageddon's release and no one has even tried to beat it

Thank you for helping us. This is so much better now. Cheers.

Which one? On or Off? I'm guessing on, but wanna make sure.
Use On to enable the fix and Off to disable.
