Nice map, I had 1 attempt, got 212, not posting it because I find it personally embarassing... I'm fast but fall so much there's zero consistency going full speed lol.

I expect RopeGPT alias to get 180-200 pretty easily.

Hmm, sub 190 was a mistake after having another go...

I think my first 120 seconds were solid enough, especially the first 60 seconds and could possibly shed another 2-5 seconds if I took more risks.

Immediately at 120 though I made a pretty bad mistake which slowed me down and wasted more seconds... Then I made a few more errors because after the first mistake I tilted a bit lol.

Sub 200 is definitely possible with a very solid run, if I could do the entire thing as well as the first 60 seconds, sure could shed up to 10 seconds I think. Not sure I have it in me to practise enough though to keep that speed that consistent.

Edit - Oh yeah, that mistake at 110 as well, at first I thought my fling was enough to get over the pole, lost a second or 2 there as well...

I'm thinking 190-195 would be possible if I didn't have any fails at all and could keep full speed, there's quite a few sections I'm getting into position at the wrong angle which means I have to do the slower move.

I have a 205/206 as well but it has 2 parachutes/falls in it, don’t really want to post, but probably will when I get home.  Might give me more motivation to grind it.

I actually can't even be bothered, had 1 attempt to get 212, then 3 more to get 208... I really just wanted to do enough so I could judge what's possible for top tier players.

Don't know what it is, I get so hyped up to play then get so bored immediately, not to mention frustrated the second I fall...

I used to be so patient and determined lol.

It's not just WA either, this is gaming in general for me... I'm hoping Starfield can fix that.

Watching the replay, he isn't even roping the fastest but he's doing mostly all the right moves and has the consistency. The point he gets to at 59s I've reached at 57 seconds a couple times before I start collapsing and making all manners of mistakes. I get too frustrated due to being so inconsistent. :D

I believe sub 190 is possible now, but it's not probably not going to be me, I just don't have it in me to practise enough before rage quitting lol.

Good job Shtaket!

I'll give £10 to the first person to get 185 or below, this is via direct PAYPAL transaction or steam gift only. This excludes any and all 3rd party services.

"RopeGPTv1" and all other aliases are excluded from this offer, known players only.

194.44 - But it's slow... I made so many mistakes and got to the 53-55 second mark at 57 seconds so a fair bit behind then a lot of other mistakes.

I got 181.94 using Tool Assist, with a few markers at some easy parts I made mistakes... Sub 180 is definitely humanly possible with a flawless run keeping the speed up.

Also, Kaleu, I love you but hate you... :D :-* :'(

This map is beautiful to rope on, there are so many nice moves to do here. BUT!

It makes me so angry the poles! Not Polish people...

THIS:

I absolutely HATE this specific design for Big RR because it has a very serious flaw which introduces a pretty annoying element of RNG.

There is a thing that happens with rope and the game engine... I can't remember it exactly but it's something to do with the frames per second and speed/angle the worm is travelling and rope is shooting to detect when a rope touches a wall... This is why sometimes you see the tip of your rope go through land, but it either doesn't connect, or it connects in a position that wasn't intended due to not being picked up quickly enough.

Instead of narrowing the tip of the pole, it should just be left fat, and this problem wouldn't happen.

For most people it isn't a problem, though when you are an extremely fast player and you are setting up for fast swooshes etc, it's virtually impossible to avoid and feels like 50/50 chance.

Does anyone even know what I'm talking about lol?

Around 60% to 70% of my attempts end in failure because the rope connect too far down on the pole instead of at the tip because of this flaw I mentioned above. It was M3ntal who told me about it in the first place when we were playing Tower Race in 2020.

Sub 190 achieved!

I reckon I can do between 180 and 185 with a flawless run now, perhaps even sub 180, though that is probably more effort than it's worth lol.

Edit:

Interesting, RopeGPTv1 just got 182.1s, though i've got to where they got at 55.5s at 53s a few times. They saved a few seconds doing 3 moves that I wasn't putting into practise yet, so I'll be able to improve my time even further by doing this. I reckon around 175-178 is possible with a flawless run now.

Sub 180 here we go!
