This cup may start in 10 and with 20 players give or take.

If you think you are not good roper but you still enjoy rope to some degree, then you should join but not to win, but to Improve and have fun.  :)

Everyone would have to start at qualification league (QL), and get enough points to enter Pro League (PL). After X amount of days the score would just reset.

This is just a theory : The theory Is that I think some people may not feel comfortable playing schemes that are out of their comfort zones such as Kaos, Shopper, and Mole. Yes the argument by a few or many or none can go like ''Kaos? Shopper? Pfft no problem!'' But these are schemes for the new guys, to get them into the league. The new guy would not probably want to play TTRR and BnG because these are top class schemes that is out of their league, or just that they don't like them.. Although they could be encouraged to play them once they pass the QL.

I am just saying that the league should probably be tailored to the new guy not the established? Sure it has worked fine and perhaps we even got a new player now and then but was that really enough? Was that really the goal?

Hell.. Maybe just make a league just for the new guys? With the popular schemes that is hosted by HostingBuddy.. And keep everything as is for the old schoolers.  Although this new league should be more prominent and in your face when you visit TUS. Perhaps something like this could be established in TUS 2.0.

I think the ultimate problem with the current league and its configuration is convenience. Nowadays people are less Inclined to visit a site outside of WA just to report their wins. It is a cumbersome exercise for most people and as a result a turn off for plenty of new people. Of course it isn't for us who are used to this. Games like Counter Strike and Rocket League, their advantage is that the league system is built into the game. I find myself play more competitive on Rocket League (when the mood strikes) than here simply because of convenience.

In the end I do not think any changes would help but I could be wrong of course. Sure let's say we have QL and PL now. What would you do? Ask the new guy? I don't think so, sorry. My best is that you would just play with the known player or spam AG for a game. Most people in AG don't even know what TUS means. So I think if people like league, and burn for it, they should probably start playing casual games with the average guy on WA and gradually promote TUS and its league. But that's not going to happen either I guess..

If u have steam version, just enable Proton on Steam Settings to play any Windows game on Linux, sometimes it even overperforms windows itself (thanks to DXVK Layer)
Oh wow great advice there thank you. I will test that out once I try Linux out.

That's why TRL is the best idea lol.

Sensei, you should also watch the Deadcode podcast.

It answers some errors you've made in your post.
Not everyone gonna watch a podcast just to find answers to a particular thing. Of course an counter argument could be made ''If they want the answer they should watch the podcast''. This argument makes sense from a business perspective but not from a small community that is divided.
I mean if you want to know about Somebody's toes and nose then that sort of Information should be encouraged to be pursue. Ultimately I do not care if big stuff about WA is spilled on a podcast or elsewhere, as longest people don't say ''Well if you wanna know you ought to listen!''. It doesn't hurt to answer on the spot..

:)

Long time ago I suggested 2 leagues for tus: Noob (Qualification League) and Pro League.

QL : Elite, Hysteria, and BIG RR.
Pro League: Intermediate, BnG, and TTRR.

Although the schemes I mentioned for QL could be replaced with popular schemes too. OR just have a league about Popular Schemes (PS): Mole, Kaos, Normal & Shopper..

In any case, in addition to the schemes I proposed for QL and PL, users should have a ''special scheme'' under their belt, it would pretty much be like special weapon.. But the special scheme can only be in use if the player has lost 2 times in a row.. Of course the special scheme shouldn't be some random made up bullshit on the spot, it must be a scheme that is well established and recognized.

Would I play more if this happened? Probably not lol. But why do I write this? Just rambling  ;D

Is there an option to donate $$$ to tus-wa.com for winners too?
No. Is this a deal breaker?

Always enjoyed Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, 3 and 4 back in the days. I never got into skating though. But the games and real life skating is very similar to roping Indeed.

As I've already said I'm in rehab do you guys ever read lol.

I got addicted to weed again, and now I'm off it but had to go to rehab.

MI knows anyway, I've told him.
If the wall of text is too great, or if it is just nonsense I probably didn't read.

Anyway good luck!

i'd much rather be worried about the general user experience than WA itself. as in, literally every other task that you'd do on a computer typically
It all depends on the Individual user of course.
