Ah yes follow the money. Money buys everything.

Well i can't compete with that.

Good luck and have fun.

I'd have chosen Darts over ZaR anyway as I get the deciding vote during ties. :D

Funny enough I was thinking about choosing ZaR over Darts because of how complicated Darts can be, then we decided to simplify it and it'll be much more accessible to everyone.

The whole point of what I am doing is to give better prizes for people who compete, so yeah, in this case, it's a higher incentive to compete for more players as there's now also a 3rd place prize and £50 for 3rd place isn't bad at all!

Remember though Kradie! Everyone will have their day! Vote for ZaR again next Season! It's all about variety, so everyone gets a chance to play their favourites!

If it's ever a tie between ZaR and Darts again, I'll be choosing ZaR next time.

Thats also a reason to use your DAW and fix them instead of carrying what AI generates, to make it sounds professional. For high freq artifacts, i generally use bitcrusher on other mixer channel, then cutoff those high freq, and mix them with izotope tools or other compressions

Nah, it still sounds shit.

There's a reason one of the most common saying amongst mixing engineers is:

"You can polish a turd but it's still a turd"

That's why whenever anyone samples YouTube or TikTok they HEAVILY resample it.

Of course I'm talking about professional, radio quality stuff.

I can't wait to hear the remix of "All my exes live in Texas"  with the "Walls of texts live in excess" country song. :D

It's pretty cool that you can easily remix this stuff with AI:

Not gonna lie... That chorus is fire hahaha! It's stupid af but AI music is actually getting decent!

I just wanted to test if it can sing lyrics you write yourself with the chorus.

Also, sorry Sensei, but the way she sings "Sensei! Sensei!" So sensually is f@#!ing amazing, if these lyrics were not silly WA beef lyrics that part would be stuck in my head for days...

Actually it IS stuck in my head that part!

Yeah, the AI isn't perfect, the quality is still a bit bad with transients and the mixdown is a bit so it sounds like a low quality MP3 with artifacts. It does sound good enough though now lol, and compared to 1 year ago WOW! The improvement is insane! In a year or 2 we will be able to fully edit professional classics!

Pros:

Great at producing/writing/singing verses and hooks.
Great instrumentals and song composition.
Authentic sounding genres.
Great sound selection.
Can use for real music inspiration.

Cons:

Some glitches here and there
Poor transients
Artifacts in the higher Hz range

The schemes for Season 33 of TRL:

*PRIZE POOL FOR TRL SEASON 33*

1st - £150

2nd - £100

3rd - £50

*INFORMATION ABOUT DARTS FOR TRL SEASON 33*

Darts and ZaR both received 4 votes.

This Season I'm choosing Darts over ZaR purely because Triad said he would donate a very generous sum of £100 for the prize pool if his favourite schemes were picked! On top of the £200 already(£100 from me, £100 from sponsorship) we now have a whopping £300 prize pool! Not bad!

However... Both Triad and I agreed in advance if Darts were picked we would simplify it so it's not so overwhelming and ridiculous for casual players. As there have been concerns that advanced Darts maps/rules are too complicated and varied. Due to this, we've reduced the number of maps available to play for TRL Darts down to 20! Using only straight simple throws instead of trick shots etc.

We've also spent some time checking each map and even fixing many maps so there are as little issues as possible, it is possible to roll on a couple of maps but only if you throw at a VERY horizontal angle and very fast in specific spots which is fine because you can optimize your shot to avoid this. Those who throw their shots properly, will have zero issues!

Please download the "TRL Darts" map pack and use ONLY this map pack when playing TRL Darts!

I cannot handle this map... It looks so beautiful and it's well designed although maps with sticky outie bits kill the flow for me.

nice run Komo, do this Kirill map too

https://www.tus-wa.com/challenges/challenge-893/

they are all pretty :-*

Thanks, see, I'm a weirdo if you haven't already noticed...

I had an urge to do this map just to see the possible time I could get and realistically it's 41-44s for a clean league style run. I bet Sir-J or others would show us that 38-40s is possible with practise doing it a harder style.

I'm not a fan of these types of maps in general for playing competitively, or to put it another way... The fact I don't like anything that isn't normal linear vertical and horizontal straight lines makes me a noob on kirills maps!

If I play a normal linear map when I make mistakes it's fine, no big deal... But when I get stuck on the icicles, or smash my face off the the capsule on the bottom tunnel at top speed... That makes me throw a hissy fit lol.

Edit - You know, once you get used to it, it's a really nice map!

8 hours left!

Unfortunately we didn't get all the games done but we did get enough done that we can advance the proper players to the Playoffs!

In the case of wormack and Sbaffo, it's a tough one to decide...  Neither player attempted to organize their match via the thread.

Since Sbaffo has been on vacation for a while now if they haven't played by the deadline(8 hours from the time of the post roughly) then I'll advance wormack #1 and Sbaffo #2 on account on Sbaffo not being available to play.

Guess who is on the next Podcast? 8)

Also @Kaleu - Don't worry, next Season will be even better!

I am nothing like Lupastic because we are different. Although sometime ago I was told that you and I are similar.

When I wrote "Same as Lupastic" I didn't mean YOU are the same as Lupastic, I mean personally speaking I think of you both in the same way, fun to play with online, frustrating to talk to on forums.

As in like, same comments from Lupastic, towards Kradie, kind of thing.

Thanks MeTonaTOR but AoA, podcast etc wouldn't exist without all you guys! I don't really consider it mine which is why I don't keep any money from that Twitch channel myself, I put it back into the community because I am directly using the community to make the content lol. That's how life should be imo.

Just, from time to time we all go through phases where good things happen and bad things happen.

There's peace, then confrontation, then peace again... It's unfortunate that when we have arguments they somehow linger with us for longer than the good because we naturally expect people to be good so it's like "If you're good, you're just doing your job, if you're bad then I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU!!!!!"

So yeah. I just want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for being part of the community, we're not perfect but we're doing amazing things in all our little groups and communities.

A few more specific areas of gratitude:

MonkeyIsland - For running the website of course, for being more on the ball recently with toxicity in the community and even putting me in my place here and there, we all need a good strong leader.

kirill470 - Dude, what you are doing with Challenges is amazing, even though I don't take part myself it's one of the most exciting things I'm a fan of spectating and keeping track of! Your creativity is impressive, your dedication is inspirational and your consistency is admirable.

King-Gizzard - Even though I don't like playing custom terrains myself competitively, I love ALL the work you've done! You're very talented and a very valued part of the community, thank you!

Senator - One of the best League moderators if not THE best I've ever seen. Thank you for giving us your time and logic!

Rocket - Such an amazing person! Great leader for ICB and always a pleasure to play together!

Triad - It's great to have you back man, you know what's up in our chats! So glad to have Darts going again! Thank you!

Lupastic - We give each other shit all the time, definitely not a fan of how you talk to people a lot, but your passion and activity is very impressive, and I'm grateful for your contributions to the League and hosting Cups and Challenges!

Kradie - Same as Lupastic really, not a fan of how you talk a lot but hey you're definitely one of the most passionate members of the game and for the most part you've been hugely responsible for keeping Clanners alive these last few years. You deserve credit for that!

TheWalrus - You've contributed in so many ways... Your donations to Cups is appreciated, your activity is appreciated, your friendship is treasured.

Mablak - Working together on the Podcast has been amazing, it's a pleasure and honour to work together!

Sir-J - His roping is just amazing to watch... Always grateful to witness that level of skill in anything.

Everyone who took part in AoA & RoR so far! - You've got no idea how much I appreciate each and every one of you for following such strict deadlines and rules, not to mention the level of sportsmanship I've seen in those events you all treating each other so well! It's an honour to be a part of that!

And yeah everyone else, keep it going!

Edit - Putting this at the start this time... We already have multiple scheme, schemes in TUS Allround, Team17 has like 3 schemes I believe? Island, Cavern and then Deadcodes variant or something, we have at least 2, I know that much!

I actually believe it's good enough to be in a main league, but I'm not sure I even want that right now as the choice we have is already overwhelming.

The scheme as it is, due to the nature of how it plays out, is not balanced yet for 2v2. I believe we need 2 schemes, 1 for 1v1 and the 2nd for 2v2. 2v2 should be 6 or 8 worms per player and I'd give either 6 or 8 teleports(6 for 6 worms and 8 for 8 worms) per team. I feel like 6 worms each, and 6 teles per team is great.

In Hysteria or Aerial even if you get poor hides you are mobile from the very first turn and have options... You pretty much ALWAYS get a chance to save at least 1 worm out of 2 and last a while.

In Grenade Wars, it's random positions, random turn order and added to that is anchored worms with teleports on a 5 turn delay.

Generally speaking when the game begins in 1v1 regardless of starting positions you only need to save 1 or 2 of your worms in reality so the strat is that you just kill as many worms as possible until teleports are available and then if you don't already have 1 or 2 really good positions, if there are a few good spots on the map you might take 1 or 2 then leave the rest of the teleports as long as possible.

It's ok if you lose 2, 3, 4 or even 5 worms in the first 5 turns if you have at least 1 or 2 worms in decent positions... THAT is when the game changes from random close quarters shots to more about what makes Grenade Wars skill based.

It's all about adapting to the first 5 turns with positioning, trying to keep more teles than your opponent, trying to find angles you can hit them but they can't hit you.

In 2v2, with only 4 worms each, it's actually fairly common to see at least 1 player get bad placements and actually lose all their worms before teleports are even available, and sometimes even lose all their worms before even getting a turn... For example... In 2v2 BnG, historically it was "KKF - Kill Komo First!"Which is fine because you need to hit me at least 5 times so I'd get at least 2 shots and was at least part of the game... In GW though, it's possible to kill someone before they even get a turn if they have the 4th turn and bad positions, which is a lot more possible in Grenade Wars than pretty much any other scheme.

At least IF we choose to play that way, which to be fair, we do pretty often at least in serious matches, if we have 6 worms rather than 4 it's just more balanced.

With 6 worms per team you should pretty much always be guaranteed at least a few turns to play!

Though... One could argue that it makes teamwork even more important, and I'd agree lol, though I feel part of the point of playing is to actually be able to play lol.

If you have a competitive game where you don't even get a chance to play, it's flawed if it's not extremely rare cases lol.

Wow! Whenever I watch someone pull off a nice move I load up the game, pause it at the start of their turn and try to guess what they did...

I'm usually pretty good at it as well!

I wasn't anywhere near close this time...

Nah that's fine Kory. GW is a very popular scheme, and Walrus lives by it lol. It was actually expected, the other 2 are doing well enough

As long as all 3 are being played, its nice to see even 1 scheme receive such love 😊.

That's why in the Playoffs you must play all 3 games, even if you already won, that's the deal 👌

Just like Elite and just like Intermediate, crates have zero business in a scheme like this.

If you want to play Shopper or Team17 then just play Shopper or Team17?

Or better yet, just go to Vegas and play the slot machines...
