When I started playing, clans like SfX or NBR were heavily respected due to their superiority in gameplay (and tbh Anubis and I would still beat the SHIT out of every newschool player who's posted here even though we haven't played in a year or more). That respect went down the drain, there's nothing left of it. The new Facebook generation thinks they're special because they post 5 status updates per day and get 50 likes or something when all they can do is rope in a straight line for 5 seconds on a Shopper map.

You guys may think this thread is about reminiscing of old times when all it ever was was a simple question of a fellow old school wormer which was directly adressed at us. But nowadays people feel they need to post their f@#!ing opinion to pretty much EVERYTHING. I don't get why you can't just STFU and go elsewhere with your opinions when this thread CLEARLY wasn't intended for you to reply.

I just liked the elitist community from back then waaay better than what is left of it now. After FB was shut down it all went to shit, many of my friends stopped playing, all the leagues after FB were far worse quality-wise, lots of new faces appeared on WNet who mostly couldn't even speak proper English or were just incredibly annoying like Chelsea or Kradie.
I actually tried to cope with the situation but in the long run there was nothing I would be interested in except for clanners. And even those were kinda boring. I mean not even the forums are interesting anymore, I only come here out of habit.

Then Dota 2 was released and it was just so much more interesting than ye olde half-dead W:A.

Just like Csongi, I still have a decent amount of free time and could technically play W:A for a couple hours a day but at this point it's just not appealing anymore, not even slightly.

You kill your own worms, darkside, force sudden death and generally play it so your opponent has exactly 1 shot on you the whole game (the one at the very end, where he could've won if the zook hit). I can't talk about the league itself because I haven't been playing in like 3 years or so, but the forums are at an all-time low in terms of posting quality. I don't mean to offend anyone but it can hardly be helped: there's almost exclusively idiots posting irrelevant shit in flawed English now. Most of the 'good' guys (objectively, my opinion) already left or aren't posting much anymore because it's become such a shit show.

The N64 had Super Smash Bros, Mario Party, Mario Kart, Ocarina of Time and a few more I can't remember right now. I had an N64 myself and was pretty happy with it, being able to plug in 4 controllers was also one of the biggest advantages.
I only ever wanted a PS to play Final Fantasy, which I borrowed from a friend at some point. So there's that.

Came here for the nino joke, wasn't disappointed.
