I'm not trying to swing my willy around and claim I'm among the best at anything, because I'm not, but in my opinion Big RR is far less difficult than TTRR. In Big RR even a noob can learn to max out the rope speed, for the most part, within a year. In TTRR all except the very best players rope safely because it's faster for them to do so. I think y'all have forgotten how amazing Mablak was at TTRR. He would do crazy pump climbs and scrolls all over the place and rarely fall. TTRR has basically an infinite skill ceiling, the ideal (impossible) run resembling a TAS run. It is much harder to time speedy maneuvers on short ropes. In Big RR everyone can maintain full speed all the time without having to operate very close to the margins. Same goes for WXW. TTRR fell out of favor precisely because nobody could compete with the top players... in Big RR I haven't seen nearly that kind of skill divide.

However I haven't seen those Masta Big RR replays people keep mentioning. He's a great roper so I'm sure they are pretty impressive. Could someone link a couple?

WA is currently not working great on Windows 10 I think after the creators update. That is fixed in 3.8. Dunno what the other changes are.

For that to work we'd need a competition bureau/monopoly-busting taskforce to avoid letting the best players all form into a single clan. That was what killed regular clanners.

Let's rather focus that "passion" and creativity on getting new ppl in ag first and show them variety this game has.

That poll is not an indication of anything. I voted "no" even though I care a great deal about the update because I didn't want to rush them to release it before they deem it ready. Everyone knows what they've done already for 20 years and that they're unpaid volunteers, so it's shitty behaviour to act entitled or pester them. WormNet is 500% only alive because of them.

Now that they're refusing to comment at all, I'd probably change my vote. They don't care for our respect, or we've taken the respect too far and they think nobody cares. I'd rather get one final update that is 90% complete than wait years until the game is dead to get the last 10% or more likely nothing at all.

Better yet make the alpha testing group public. Most of the update has been in the hands of alpha testers for like 5 years already. Post the alpha builds on Worms2d.info with a big warning and then you can make tiny incremental updates without the hassle of going through Team 17's approval process.

These TUS games can take a long time.. probably 30+ minutes each. 5 of those games is a long time to keep your focus, especially when you think your opponent is blatantly inferior (at mole) or if you get bored. It's a challenge of endurance as much as it is skill.

I think Zalo will win as long as he keeps his focus and plays seriously. He might be tempted to show off for the "camera" doing bungee tricks and stuff which could lead to his failure..

Loving this drama  . I'll definitely tune in for this epic showdown of egos. Will anyone else accept the challenge? I think the $40 offer is open to anyone..

You could make a video showcasing all the awesome stuff that is possible in ProjectX. There are very few videos about it, and none of them are up to date, or include the best stuff.

Having normal mole makes the game worse and less skillful because you can always jump up in the hole it makes. Also not sure why you weaken the nade and stuff but leave shotgun, baseball bat, firepunch, airstrike, etc all high powered. Your inconsistent changes just create a scheme that only the host knows, giving them an advantage.

@Cybershadow and Deadcode - Would there be any legal (or other) issue in posting unofficial alpha builds on the worms2d.info site? The time Team 17 is taking to vet the update is not reasonable, especially since you've stated you wish to release updates more frequently. I think they feel threatened because W:A outshines all their new games, and wish it never existed. However threatened I can't imagine them taking you to court over a 20 year old game, even if you straight up leaked their source code. Both of you live far outside UK jurisdiction. What judge would take them seriously anyway?

The only reason I visit this site anymore is for news about the update. I think we have, out of respect, been overly shy in probing for news, and this has come across to you as a lack of interest. I care about this update (and this game) a lot and I'm sure tons of other players do too even if they don't speak English well enough to say so. You both should know how much I appreciate your devotion but I don't feel like rehashing all that again during this dry spell. It kills me that months go by and you don't say anything..
