That was intense! The nade trick especially. While I knew about it, I completely forgot it existed. Could it be WA's most unknown secret? ::)

Playing that map, I never would have thought to place the girder like that, or to use the nuke to raise the water. Awesome!

Quote from: StepSmaybe any feature ideas regarding to the window?

When you click outside the main menu frontend window (the mouse is not bounded inside the window), the frontend doesn't minimize.

If you could somehow click outside the other frontend windows, such as the Host/Join lobby (if the mouse wasn't bounded inside the window), would the same non-minimizing behaviour occur?

If not, ignore the rest of this post..

IF yes, a simple hotkey "eg. force mouse position to X=1921, Y=1" might release the mouse for use on monitor #2?

You've almost certainly thought of this and it's probably impossible, or else you would have done this or a workaround similar to it already. I don't really have any other suggestions right now.

(My motivation for this suggestion: It's slightly annoying not being able to "Ctrl-G" on the Host/Join screen when hosting because the game does not notify you when players join your game on the taskbar. If a workaround like the one I suggested above worked, I could do other stuff while waiting for people to join my game, without continuously minimizing/restoring).

Let me just say that D3D9Wnd is almost perfect, so I'm definitely nitpicking, since you asked. And it wouldn't be possible to gracefully minimize the frontend at all (ie. without those annoying slow resolution changes and desktop icons moved) if you hadn't made this program. Shift-Esc is very handy in the frontend already.

Awesome job steps. Steam compatible! Just a suggestion: include some quick instructions in the archive, and use .ZIP instead of .RAR - to make it more noob accessible!

I'm noticing a big surge of new players from the weekend $1 sale. More are likely to stick around if they can figure out how to use this program.

Quote from: StepS...those "breakthroughs" (there was only one recently...
It's a good one though. Useful to monitor chat, see when players light up, etc, while you browse.

Quote from: StepSBut still if you need to keep the big window running, just use Alt+Tab or something similar!
Thanks .. I'll try this when I get home.

Disregard my post... I figured out the Ctrl+G/Ctrl+H thing while I was testing... I've just been doing it wrong. Thanks for the tip about "ActiveBackground" in the ini file... never knew about that!

And I assumed the stretched mouse focus was impossible... just checking since you have made some breakthroughs recently with the frontend.

Very awesome Steps.. I've been hoping for that 'Run frontend in background' feature. One step closer to perfect for multi-monitor users. The only thing that could improve it now is if the mouse didn't get trapped inside stretched/custom-sized frontend windows. The way the default windowed (top left) frontend mode works is perfect, the way you can click freely in and out of WA's focus. It's just a bit hard to read comfortably, with its small size. With stretched/custom sized frontends, you still have to minimize the game to operate other windows.

And I just wanna say, your D3d9wnd utility makes WA with multiple monitors sooo much more enjoyable. The Ctrl+G and Ctrl+H in-game feature that lets you browse the internet and watch people's turns at the same time is awesome. Thanks for continuing to develop it, even though you play on 1 screen on a laptop.

W:A Kickstarter for DC/CS, would anyone donate?
Yes. And I think reconnects would be a tremendous improvement to the game.

Other worms games / Re: Worms: Clan Wars

So I read on the Steam forums that this game's release date is Q3 this year.

And it hasn't even entered Beta testing yet? What a god damn charade, they won't have time to fix anything. Just like the last MANY worms games.

I would have posted there, but they banned me for respectfully voicing my opinion and providing USEFUL feedback. As opposed to this hostile feedback.

Team17, you suck. I really, honestly hope that people stop buying your shitty games and you go bankrupt.

Two monitors 1920x1200
Nvidia GTX 480 1536mb
Core i7-3820

Checked GPU settings but can't find the appropriate setting. I suspect it's a false error.. my computer can handle much more intense applications.

Team17's beta testing process is a charade. Their release schedule is always too tight to address any problems/suggestions raised by the testers.

It always annoyed me that Bethany called herself a "developer" but she probably couldn't even use a microwave. Her qualifications for getting hired at Team17 were "worked at a Gamestop for 2 years".

It is a shame the team17 forums are closing. There was 10+ years of history contained in the posts there. And the team17 forums were a great place to connect with the WA developers. Which is probably why they're closing the forums -- the WA developers just shat buckets all over the WRev staff and made them look utterly incompetent. For example Deadcode recently re-opened some thread about an extremely minor bug report from 2006 on the Team17 forums, with a 500+ word highly technical explanation of why the problem had occurred, including his own replays isolating the issue.

When someone from WRev does actually appear on the forums, they will either delete the post, copy their DxDiag message, ban the poster, or more likely some mix of the three. Or they will respond and just flat out lie and spin bs propaganda. But lately they don't even care enough to lie.

And now the next Worms game is being developed in secret with no suggestions/input from fans, probably on a compressed timescale for console release full of bugs with no time for testing/feedback just like the last half dozen games. I wish all their stupid casual console player customers would wake up and stop rewarding Team17 for systematically insulting its true player base, WA players.

Everybody and their goat had silkworm 3.5. The aimbot wasn't improved in later versions afaik... I had version 4.13f 'ultra' with the mousewheel flying and stuff. Not sure if there were newer ones after that. But to be clear, I wasn't talking about silkworm.
