I'd rather the game be on Steam but I didn't want to wait, and I don't think it's silly to expect that a game should work reasonably well upon launch. The modern gaming industry just sucks and I am tired of games coming out broken.

The movie industry these days is complete garbage. Compare what gets released today with the stuff that came out in the 80's, 90's and very early 2000's. Today it's horrible in comparison. derp derp I need another superhero movie or some stupid reboot...

We don't have a clear timeline though. The timeline is blurry at best and falls apart at worst. My point is that there are clearly man-made structures on this planet that are far older than the beginning of 'history' as the mainstream knows it, like twice as old or more!

Also, I am not talking about primitive constructions made out of bolders. I am talking about very intricately-aligned, well-thought-out buildings that are made of precisely-quarried stones that fit together like Lego bricks, sites that align perfectly to stars and celestial patterns/processions... and in many of these places we are talking about stones that are so many tons in weight that it's mind-boggling, not to mention the further mystery that comes from the fact that in some of these sites they use types of stone that aren't even close to the place of erection. They had to somehow transport these impossibly heavy stones vast distances in many cases.

Also, people have been using mortar of sorts for a long time. Of course they didn't have cement but they had equivalents.

Not too many games get me excited nowadays but I am a big fan of the Borderlands games and was waiting for this one to drop for a while. I finally got it downloaded and installed today and f@#!...

The first thing that I noticed is that it takes a full minute just to load up the initial splash screen. A FULL MINUTE. What is this, 3DO? The next thing that I noticed is that I was not getting any sound whatsoever. I decided to start up a game so I can see the intro cutscene and make a character, but nope. It went to a blank, black screen and just stayed there. I even waited 3-4 minutes before finally ALT+F4'ing out of the game and restarting. I messed with different video settings and the same thing happened every time.

On the third tab of the video options screen I noticed a benchmark test that I could run, so I did. My settings were on 1080p resolution but everything else was set to low/off and when it loaded the benchmark I saw myself flying through the game for a bit and I was averaging maybe 20 fps. AT MOST I'd hit 40 and at worst it would dip around 12-13. That is absolutely ridiculous. If I can play Monster Hunter World in 1080p with basically maxed out settings sure I can run this game, right?

I checked out some Reddit threads and apparently loads of people are having issues on all platforms. I'm so damn sick of games being released with crippling, game-breaking bugs and lack of optimization. It's kinda sad that we more or less have to expect these days that games in many cases won't be *actually* playable until like 2 weeks after launch.

$60 spent... now I gotta wait for patches. Yay.

Extraterrestrial life IMO absolutely exists and so many ancient religious texts around the world blatantly talk about spaceships, 'gods,' technology, advanced weapons, etc. I'm in the camp that believes that human beings are the result of genetic engineering and not pure evolution. I also think that human civilization on this planet is far older than 6,000-7,000 years but unfortunately mainstream archaeology/history largely refuses to acknowledge newer findings that indicate that what we know is largely incomplete and/or just plain wrong. Anyone who is into learning about old megalithic structures would agree that it's highly damn unlikely that a bunch of humans thousands and thousands of years ago erected these sites/structures without some sort of help, especially quarrying and fashioning stones that were harder than tools available to them at the time that are cut so perfectly that you can't even slide a credit card between them... not to mention the fact that many of them are so heavy that even with modern machinery it would be nearly impossible to move some of them.

Back to the Carlin quote -

He was on point as per usual and one of the first people I can remember openly talking about 'woke' subject matter and conspiracy theory in comedy. I think that type of stuff is easier to swallow when it's mixed in with jokes because most people would otherwise get uncomfortable and cognitive dissonance would have them checking out of the conversation so they can remain in their little comfy reality bubble, that kind place where beliefs aren't questioned and everything is more or less okay.

I used to care. I used to get so mad thinking about the 'elite' and how we're lied to and manipulated constantly and now I don't f@#!ing care at all. I don't care because I spent so many years trying to 'wake people up' and open their eyes to what is really going on, and that time spent was a complete waste. What I've learned over the years is that most people (and by 'most' I mean the vast majority) do not give a shit about anything that doesn't directly affect their personal, day-to-day lives. They might claim that they do but they are lying. Most people aren't interested in learning anything that they aren't compelled to learn about and even when you can find someone who seems willing to listen, they really just are trying to set you up to 'prove you wrong' by asking you to cite specific evidence and facts that you obviously aren't going to be carrying around in your back pocket, and it doesn't matter what you're talking about because if they call for facts and you can't immediately present them, they have won in their own minds... even though everyone has smart phones these days and can look up virtually anything. They never look up anything though. Never.

This is why I am inclined to let the world burn. This planet needs a giant douche. Everywhere you look it's a bunch of predatory scumbags lording over a bunch of consumeristic sheeple retards. These people can tell you the scores of the most recent games and what happened in that one episode of Game of Thrones but can't provide the names of people in highly important government offices in their own respective countries. It's beyond pathetic.

As far as the conversation about wealth goes, I do think that a certain level of opulence / extravagance is completely unnecessary yet at the same time I don't think that it is morally right for society to impose some sort of limit on others as to how much wealth they can attain, and what kind of luxury they can have. Unfortunately I can't think of a better economic system than capitalism, but capitalism definitely has its faults. Truth be told, if I were filthy rich I would indulge to the max and probably be a horrible human being. I don't think that money necessarily turns people evil, but I do think that it can lead people to become largely amoral. Conventional morality is for the slave class and doesn't really apply when you have so much money invested here and there that your money passively makes you far more money than someone with a normal job could make, all while you do f@#!ing nothing aside from get your dick sucked by a porn star.

Since I became sexually active as a teenager I've barely ever used condoms. I hate them and I think it makes sex far less enjoyable, not to mention it's a mood killer when you have to 'press pause' take the condom out of the packet, put it on, etc. Plus, even if you use one they always f@#!ing break or slip off. I've never gotten a STD nor accidentally gotten a woman pregnant, thank god. As long as you don't bang random sluts, communicate, and make sure your pull out game is strong, there's not much of a risk not using condoms, especially if you and your partner aren't homosexual, use intravenous drugs, etc.

wormers keep on looking for a keyboard that will fix their timing mistakes

only practice makes you better, not keyboards

everyone is looking for a shortcut but there isn't one

I agree 100%. As long as the keyboard doesn't have keylock/ghosting or whatever, you can do just as well with a cheap keyboard as you can with an expensive 'gamer' keyboard. It is practice/experience/skill that makes the difference, not the keyboard. Having a good keyboard might make a tiny bit of difference but mostly it's just all in one's head. Besides, W:A is not very competitive these days anyway so spending a bunch of cash on an expensive keyboard JUST for Worms is kinda silly IMO.

Yes, Facebook sucks in various ways and I've had many temp bans on there but it's what most people use. I have a Gab account and nobody I know uses that platform aside from one person. I'm not gonna bother taking the time to check multiple sites every day, or using multiple apps when Facebook is by far the easiest and most convenient way to keep in touch with people.

Our conscious experience is a hologram comprised of interlacing waveforms and all that is real is our consciousness. Time doesn't actually exist per se but with our limited perception abilities we can't see how all points in 'time' exist simultaneously and everything that is happening, has happened, and will happen is basically all the same thing. The only point of life is to merely experience it and morality as we know it is largely bunk; all that matters is growing collectively and learning to love without fear or expectation of reciprocity. We are all shards of the same thing (whatever it is) and how we treat others is how we treat ourselves ultimately.

Are there any 'must have' PC games out nowadays?

I'm always looking for something to play but can never find anything interesting. For the record, I'm not into 'battle arena' type games, the vast majority of first-person shooters, most MMORPG's, sports titles (except racing), etc.

What is good nowadays? I want to play something new but every time someone suggests something to me IRL it looks dumb as f@#!.
red dead redemption 2

play it on xbox one and ill be your huckleberry
It's definitely a quality game but I don't have a console anymore. I've played the story mode a bunch over at a friend's house but never did jump online. I bought all of my PS4 games digitally so I am considering looking for a cheap used PS4 just so I can play all of them again. I really miss Resogun.

I'm actually tempted to get a Switch just for this.
