General discussion / Re: WormNET is down - No news anywhere?
« on: December 20, 2020, 04:08 PM »
it's still really unfortunate that nobody from Team17 noticed this and then made some kind of announcement.
When's the last time they made some kind of announcement about a WormNET failure?

the download button doesn't seem to work
This is an error that happens with all scheme downloads on WKB
I cannot download using Chrome
Oh no, a browser is trying to open a text file as a text file! What a terrible error!!
Right-click -> Save as

Would be good to be able to fast-forward bot turns as well. With a third-party speedhack it already works fine in singleplayer.

Tech Support / Re: Full Wormage won't unlock. Plz help

gold on training
The basic training or all of them? You'd need all. If that's already the case, I dunno, might as well use those unlockers.

Other worms games / Re: Do you guys like Worms W.M.D?
« on: July 25, 2020, 06:08 AM »
Steam charts don't include all the CD versions, pirated versions, and GoG players.
All of which can play on the same servers. Don't think that's the case for WMD.

General discussion / Re: Retreat time - bug?

A number of features are just glorified bugs. Wait until you get to how Longbow works.

Make new friends?

due to how incredibly smooth the ninja rope now is
inb4 oldschoolers boycot 3.8 because the rope doesn't feel the same anymore

General discussion / Re: Problem with wkWMDB module for WormKit
« on: June 10, 2020, 09:08 PM »
Just to make sure, are you using the right version of the module?

We're probably forgetting the inconvenience of playing without favourite WormKit moduels due to staying on the same version for a few years. Let's see how many would break and how much of an impact it would make.

3.8 will fix all the annoying compatibility issues people have with Windows 10
Then Windows updates and you get all of that back and more!
(There were Win10-specific compatibility issues? I've heard primarily Linux stuff)

[3.8] is all we will ever really need
Yeah who the hell needs in-game kicking and a long list of other things.

new rubberworm options
They aren't new and they won't even be RubberWorm options at that point, just base game options.

Here's 2.2 and then a bunch of smaller versions after that: 2.2.2, 2.2.3, 2.2.4. I'd say go with .3 and then try .4 in case of hosting problems.

Tech Support / Re: Game stutters on Windows 10
« on: May 11, 2020, 03:13 PM »
"slutter" is a rather vague term. I don't see any more info I can work with, so I'll go with standard suggestions of changing graphics renderer (usually you want Direct3D 9) and trying out different vertical synchronization modes. Main Menu -> Options -> Advanced -> Graphics

General discussion / Re: Crate Before Attack - New Shopper Game
« on: May 03, 2020, 01:55 PM »
Shopper is played without the Attack From Rope (AFR) rule.

Announcements / Re: WormNET Service Updates
« on: April 25, 2020, 03:15 AM »
3.8 does not exist yet, and nobody knows when it would be done. WebSnoop is entirely optional, standard hosting will remain.

Schemes / Re: Shopper rules clarification
« on: April 22, 2020, 04:10 PM »
zooks were never intended to be used in that way
Which isn't necessarily bad. I don't think roping was intended to go this far either.

It barely qualifies for AFR.
Gotta mention TUS Shopper is played without AFR.
