I realize i've been taking a lot of shots at ZaR recently, but hope you know I don't actually have any genuinely negative feelings towards ZaR, I think the blitzed thing was funny but now I think about it this one here feels like a cheap shot and not as witty as previous banter lol.
When I am serious, people laugh. When I am not serious, people don't laugh xD

But I did not try to be funny with that blitz thing :D

Indeed, I love Worms Golf and Worms Pinball.

And exactly what you said in your second sentence StepS.

Battle royale games though... I'd rather drag my bare balls over a small planatoid of rusty razors, cacti, dip them in vinega while at the same time attempting to sit on the worlds biggest buttplug, then join ZaR, than play anything to do with a battle royale game  :o
*Takes the bait and bites fiercely*

You just described ZaR's requirements to join.

But seriously, ZaR is not that bad  :P

Well sorry to disappoint but I'm bored to tears of this game. And 3.8 doesn't bring anything that would revive my interest at this point. I appreciate devs work though.
I think most of the experienced players feel that way.  We always played for fun and for the competition, there was never a single worms professional or esports footprint though, and when the competition went away, so does the desire to get better and play more.

I still play here and there for fun, but its been 20 years on and off, thousands of games, and few new gameplay mechanics, coupled with devs that don't care about the hardcore playerbase.

There was a window to invigorate the 2d worms fanatics but it seems like it has passed.  Deadcode and Cyber have more than done their part many times over even if they and the other maintainers never release 3.8.  The game has enjoyed several great incarnations of activity.  We are in the twilight, and that is just fine with me.
The league is only enjoyed by a few die hard competitive people. This alone doesn't make WA dead. AG is still filled with new and old regulars myself included. I still play cups, and tournament here and there, but even if they aren't as active as I hoped they would be, don't make WA dead.

You are entitled to your own opinion, but I think that's a bit disrespectful to Deadcode & team. This hardcore playerbase you speak of, is merely present, and even the developers would ''focus on the hardcore's needs'' I think it wouldn't ameliorate anything.
Still, I do believe the developers are well aware of what everyone wants and not just a set of players.
Sorry if that was unclear, was talking about team17 when I referenced "coupled with devs that don't care about the hardcore playerbase"

DC and CS's updates seem aligned with the hardcore playerbase and have taken suggestions as so, I don't think there is any question of that

Hardcore players and the league drive TUS and AG activity, the drive-by worms players don't stop in here

So at the end of the day I think we essentially agree on this Kradie my sweet
True words my tusky intellect.

Just a headsup: LilScrappy94 and I agreed that our first game was ZaR Roper and second game is normal Roper.

I have to admit, some of these replies saddens me a little and here is why; Does anyone of this community appreciate the work & time put into developing 3.8? If DeadCode & Co, wouldn't had bother with anything, WA would probably be less active as it is now, perhaps just a fan game for some die hard fans. Still, for years people have been complaining on and on  that the next update is taking so long, and now when it is right around the corner, people don't care? The hell?

To my fellow group members. You may find me in AG/Snooper, discord or tus. Pm me, and we can play or schedule the game.

Thanks.

How about Boogie2988's character Francis?

You can't actually believe that this update or any update will bring back activity? Nice to have for anyone that still plays but the games isn't going all of a sudden get a massive stable increase in players. W:A has been been stretched to its limits, just like Komo's arse.
WA isn't stretched to its limits. It's a phenomenal milestone that it's alive today. You can't say that a lot about other games that STILL receive updates, and with an active user base. I think the update could increase activity, by how much is yet to be seen. Only steam charts will tell.

Yeah who the hell needs in-game kicking and a long list of other things.
In game kick module is useful and should be default for all that hosts. It is not meant to serve as a troll tool, but rather a troll remover. How many times have games been broken because of an incompatible anomaly? A lot, and at those times having a kick tool would had been useful.

Yeah, I am curious, will you play or be more active when 3.8 gets released?
