StepS has brought HostingBuddy in here, hf
as well as WebSnoop http://wormnet.steps.club:17030/snooper/

http://worms2d.info/WkRehost
not compatible with WormNAT2 though

The best setup for it is Windows 7 or lower and a monitor which supports 640x480 fullscreen.
For Win8/10, try placing this dll in game's folder and hope it works.
There's also a windowed mode available (for those who didn't meet the second requirement) here, but I've heard it's a bit glitchy, so you'd probably have to mess up with settings a bit.

There's currently a problem with a blacklist server which is used by Team17's WormNET. With that one server being "down", the blacklist check cannot be done, resulting in a "negative" response and a ban. Long story short, you're not the only one having this problem. Just hope it'd fix itself in a few days.

Meanwhile, you can try using an alternate WormNET server. To do that, start W:A, then go to Options, then Advanced, and enable the "Use community server list" option, then go to online play like you would do normally. Instead of throwing you right at Team17's server, it'll give you an option to choose a server yourself. I'd recommend "StepS' server". Note that there's no HostingBuddy on this server, so you gotta host games yourself (or using WormNAT2).

General discussion / Re: WWP or WA
January 01, 2017, 02:31 PM
I'd prefer if it was WWP that got all the patches instead of W:A, but things have turned out the other way and we can't do much about it. I've heard that W:A 4.0 would allow to play WWP missions if the user owns WWP CD, or something like that, but 4.0 isn't going to happen anytime soon.

Quote from: avirex on December 31, 2016, 04:47 PMi understand why husk would like it [WWP] more, because there was a couple more weaps
PC versions of W:A and WWP always had an identical set of weapons.

Quote from: avirex on December 31, 2016, 04:47 PMif im not mistaken, the roping was slightly slower..
uhm... no?

Quote from: avirex on December 31, 2016, 04:47 PMand the ropes were super long?
Wasn't that just an option, like TestStuff is in W:A?

soooo no scales, no freeze and no quake either?  sounds like a big change, if you ask me

Yes W:A is still very active, and in fact those newer versions tend to die in like two months after release. Even the newest one isn't all that great, this single thread proves so very well.

And it's never too late to learn to rope properly.

Quote from: DarkOne on December 31, 2016, 11:22 AMa couple of people have sent in a lot of replays (one of them sent 75)
that's probably me  :0
How did you count that? Did you check out the actual sender (IP), or just nicks of whoever performed the fail? I think I used three or even four nicks in here, so the actual number of replays I sent may be well over 150

(I think it's the time to say sorry for any disappointing turns?)

this should help you getting started again

ropes and jetpacks sound awfully overpowered

Promotion Project / BnG notching
December 29, 2016, 08:48 PM
Quote from: Korydex on December 29, 2016, 10:07 AMbng, elite, roper and t17 is what the real classic league should be.
BnG is already ruined by notching;
Roper, at least in a match between two players with similar skill, will likely be won by who had the least "crate rapes";
Team17 is way too vulnerable to the cheat that allows to see opponents' inventory;
Elite, can't say much about it because I hardly ever played it.
That'd be a nice league for sure! It may be classic but it won't be much enjoyable today.

Quote from: Sensei on December 29, 2016, 01:07 PMThat's why it would be cool to see stationary amount of pts, like 30/30 no matter win or lose.
how about 313/313?

Quote from: j0e on November 10, 2016, 08:42 AMmake sure you're using the module from the official wormkit page https://worms2d.info/WormKit. There's 4 versions available - make sure you're using the right one for your version of WA.

Komo, if you did bother to type this word, couldn't you just throw it into google translate or something?
