Description:

Welcome to Wheel of Fortune Tournament!

The meaning of the tournament is that there is no specific scheme for the game, it is determined in the process of spinning the Wheel of Fortune

It will be a test for brave players who will be able to accept the challenge of fate :P

Wheel of Fortune will have all the standard TUS league (classic, free league) schemes, as well as some rarely played schemes. The list did not include PX schemes, as well as rubber schemes (except for Kaos Normal).

It's a 20 day tournament, you'll have time to play your games, don't worry. All you need is the desire to face the randomness face to face, a good mood and the desire to win :)

How tournament will work?
Spoiler! View

  • Registration of players for the tournament (as many as possible who want to play for elimination are welcome)
  • Tournament draw (distribution of players in pairs)
  • Mod makes a short video on YouTube, where lots are drawn for all pairs of the tournament
(This will need to be done at every stage of the tournament again, because that's the point of this tournament. Full random.)
  • Each pair of players plays the scheme that fell out to them in the process of drawing lots.
Notes will be indicated for each scheme
(rules, scheme, how many wins, the number of worms in the team, etc.).
  • Winner makes a report and waits for the next draw.

It is important that in order to continue playing the next stage of the tournament, the previous one must be completely completed by all players.

You may be able to spin the wheel again if "Roll Again Bro" appears.
There will be three such cells, and they will be placed among the list of schemes.

The Wheel of Fortune contains about 50 different schemes, general rules and tournament scheme rules here:

You can familiarize yourself with the rules of the schemes and download scheme
by clicking red book on scheme list

You can find maps for playing on wmdb and TUS.
Special maps for schemes are listed separately. Maps for games by agreement.

No glitches pls, but you can use the crate search module, non-standart terrains (wkTerrainSync), as well as increase the game speed by 150% (only Comet Dodging, by agreement)

You can play your games in #RopersHeaven or #AnythingGoes channel, doesn't matter.
There is no need to play tournaments on #PartyTime channel, because schemes where pushing worms is not allowed for some reason or rules were automatically configured for the WA latest version.

Can’t host games? No problem. Just create host with Hosting Buddy and type
“!tusscheme 1234”
(1234 is an example of a scheme number or map number for a cup) to load tournament scheme and
“!wmdb 1234” or “!tusmap 1234” to upload map for game.

And in most schemes, be sure to include the number of wins (!rounds). This is important for the turn order.

Use the schemes listed above to play in the tournament or your results will not be counted

Good luck and Have a Good Time

finally an event where being flexible and having the ability to play multiple schemes on a pro level counts as true skill ;W

I thought a tournament means that the mod schedules a specific day and time for the players and it needs to be done in a single night in one of the channels of wormnet or something? and this surely looks like an event which requires plenty of time to discuss + play (thats why I asked ^.-)

I'm realist. At the present time, it is almost impossible to gather 16 people in one evening

in the end, it depends on the players how interested and ready to play

Tournaments work best and as far as WA is concerned aimed at when all players gather and finish all games on that same day/time.

The only other "Tournament" I know of that holds the event over multiple days is CWT.

This type of thing is better suited to Cups, which are made specifically for players who can't all be in the same place at the same time.

I definitely don't want anyone to start getting the idea that you can sign up for a Tournament, and not even be immediately available.

Good luck though!

If the players can finish their games earlier, why not finish the tournament faster?

It seems to me that the rules for creating tournaments do not specify the time frame for the tournament bracket.

In any case, a tournament is the best option when you want to run test events like this one.

Oh, don't worry, you are within the rules :)

I'm just saying that traditionally speaking, Tournaments are usually an event where players arrive at a day/time, and finish all the matches there and then.

Though to be fair... I'm curious if this type of Tournament would catch on, because I have some ideas for this!

I'll wait a week, then I'll decide whether to hold the tournament.

This idea deserves 16 people to play.

But if I don't get support from WA community, it will be extremely sad.
With further conclusions regarding the creation of competitions on TUS :(

don't lose interest + be discouraged so easily Lancy. you make nice and original ideas, that's what matters : ) the lack of players in such events shows another sign..

12 or 16 would be nice to start with
